1. Join stock market simulation contest: http://new.howthemarketworks.com/register/36042. Register for the $50,000 option.
2. Create a user name that is your first name_last name_p#. For example, carlos_uribe_p2
3. You have $25,000 in your account (there's a glitch. You register for $50,000, but you only have $25,000 to spend)
a. You must buy at least $5,000 in a total stock market index mutual fund or ETF.
b You must own a minimum of 4 holdings (any combination of stocks, mutual funds and ETFs). There is no maximum number of holdings.
c. You must invest all $50,000
4. You can only buy U.S. stocks, ETFs and mutual funds
5. Every trade (buying or selling) costs you $10.00
6. No day trading. No shorting. No buying on margin.

8. Go to http://education.howthemarketworks.com/ to learn more about how the stock market works
9. Browse what the "experts" think by looking at search results for "top U.S. recommended stocks"
